we have not found anything that would be super safe for the bird’s seed area.

***Dimensions: (approx.) 16”L x 13”W x 13.75”H (at roof). Seed area is approximately 13.5”L x 7.5”W. Great for sunflower seeds or your choice of seed. Drainage slats are included.

***This listing is for the Timber Frame style Bird Feeder only. No post or stand is included. Ideally, this feeder is designed to screw down to the top of a deck rail or to the top of a 4x4 post as it is lighter weight. You could also use some L-shaped hardware brackets which you could attach to the side of a 4x4 post and bottom of feeder.
