Cedar will naturally hold up to the weather just fine as is. It does darken but ages gracefully! If you desire to stain or varnish the exterior, you certainly may.

***Clean- out opening on bottom of birdhouse. Remove 2 screws. Drainage holes included.

***We deliberately choose a no perch option as perches sometimes give predators easy access to birds. However, if you decide you need a perch, just let us know and we can include one for an additional fee.
